Sarah is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, licensed Physical Therapist, and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist who specializes in Women’s Health.
She believes in an enthusiastic, empathetic approach to physical therapy. As every client is unique, her work focuses on creating customized programs to eliminate pain, improve function and reach individual goals.
Her practice incorporates a variety of manual therapies, including: PNF, stretching, Myofascial Release, soft tissue mobilization, spinal manipulations, and pelvic floor interventions.
After earning a BS in psychology and minor in exercise science from Valparaiso University, then she received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Long Island University-Brooklyn.
She continued her training, completing Functional Therapy courses with Maitland and the Institute of Physical Art. She served as an instructor for Doctor of Therapy students and earned her certification as an Orthopedic Specialist.
Ms. Wendler’s post-graduate practice began focusing in orthopedics and sports medicine. Her clinical work has covered a broad spectrum of specializations, ranging from pediatrics to geriatric care.
She completed training to treat neuromuscular and musculoskeletal dysfunction and added innovative pelvic therapies to treat Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Pain with Sex, Incontinence, and Pre and Post-Partum.
She has focused on women’s health since 2015 and helping women and mothers feel the best they possibly can. She’s merged her two areas of expertise (women’s health/pelvic floor and orthopedic) into one. Breaking through the societal lack of treatment, recovery and care for women surrounding pregnancy and birth is her number one passion!
Sarah is a mom of two herself and well known to moms across Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan.
